The Alejandro Flores Foundation (AFF) is a LA-based organization that provides scholarships to low-income, high-potential students pursuing higher education. We believe that the resources one is born with should not dictate their opportunities or outcomes in life. Unfortunately, income is one of the best predictors of educational opportunities and outcomes in our community. 

We are working to bridge that gap by offering an inclusive and progressive scholarship application that does not use traditional metrics, like GPA and standardized test scores, to evaluate our applicants. Research shows that these metrics are a much better indicator of one's wealth than their ability to perform well in an academic environment. By focusing on a more holistic application process, we seek to provide opportunities to those students that far too often fall through the cracks of our education system.
